Conversations with a neo-con Part II

'They claim that "the top enlisted Marine in Iraq has called on his troops to commit war crimes against the tens of thousands of remaining residents" of Fallujah. But they completely ignore the fact that coalition troops have uncovered mass graves that contain the bodies of nearly a half-million Iraqis executed by Saddam Hussein,

Mr.Neocon here!

That's right Saddam slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people and that's why we had to flatten Fallujah. Oh, hang on, didn't we capture Saddam? That's right I'm sure we did, so what's Saddams crimes got to do with us flattening Fallujah? Oh! I get it! Saddam committed war crimes and so we can too! Phew, thought I was becoming a peace loving pinko commie liberal there for a second, close call!

and the discovery of slaughter-houses in Fallujah where innocent victims were routinely beheaded'

Yeah, those murdering so and so's. We don't decapitate people we drop 1000lb bombs on them decapitating them that way instead, we're not butchers we bomb people into democracy and bury their homes.

'while praising the terrorists in Iraq as "resistance fighters"

Yeah, those people are terrorists! What? What's a terrorist? A terrorist is someone that defends their home against a brutal and bloody occupation. A terrorist is someone that picks up a gun and shoots at our troops just because we killed his entire family - doesn't he want to be free? A terrorist is any one that disagrees with us peaceable freedom loving Americans. Resistance is futile!

'In much of the world, the antics of these protesters would result in jail--or worse. Cuba, China, and many socialist countries routinely eliminate protests--and protesters--against the government and its leaders'

Yeah, we put innocent people who disagree with us in prisons in Cuba as well! Good thinking! What? We lock up more people per capita than Cuba or China put together? Yeah, okay but, well at least they used to be free.

So there's my case...What? We've spent $200 billion destroying Iraq and now we've got to spend $200 billion to rebuild it if they'll let us? Just to find a nut in a foxhole, one guy?

Er, um, yes, yes it's worth it. I think. May'be. Whine.
