The National Rifle Association today praised the privacy law that prevents the FBI from stopping suspected and know terrorists from buying guns and assault rifles. They said that the privacy rights of gun owners were far more important than homeland security and terrorism concerns. The statement follows revelations that 44 known and suspected members of terrorist organisations had successfully sought to purchase the guns and assault weapons. A NRA spokesperson speaking off the record and who does not want to be named, Charlton Goddam-you-all-to-hell Heston, commented further that the NRA intends to pursue the right for American citizens to purchase anthrax, botulism, smallpox, napalm, agent orange and hand held thermonuclear weapons in absolute privacy. He contends that this would make all Americans even safer than they are now and reduce crime. He also defended the use of SMART laser guided cluster bombs in hunting small, defenceless furry animals.
